Each year the Alabama Leadership Bankers awards the Kenneth R. McCartha Scholarship, which is presented to an outstanding college senior who desires a career in the banking industry. The scholarship honors former State of Alabama Banking Superintendent, Kenneth R. McCartha. This scholarship was created to assist a senior from a four-year college in Alabama who has shown above average academic achievement and has aspirations for a career in banking. The scholarship has a monetary value of $1000.
